Pinwheel Heart is a place for us to talk about our feelings as fans of the Portland Trail Blazers. This is a place to be a fanatic, be unreasonable, see people as people and not commodities, and stick up for our favorite players when they’re not playing so hot. It’s a place where we can be heartbroken about Dame without having to apologize for it.

Because I don’t know about you, but I follow sports with my brain AND with my heart. What else are we fans for?

And me? I’m Kelley. I’m a writer and blogger, born and raised in Portland, Oregon. I’ve been following the Blazers since the 2000 playoffs. Yeah, those playoffs. We don’t have to talk about those again. When I was a kid growing up in Beaverton, I liked Buck Williams for no discernible reason. (Probably the goggles.) We have some history, me and the Blazers. I used to be an optimist. Now I’m an optimist who says she’s jaded.
